The OLD JOINT STOCK Pub has two function rooms - the club room on the ground floor and the function room on the first floor. It is also possible to use the mezzanine gallery for private parties.
Whether you are organising a conference, meeting, training day, product launch, fashion show, wedding reception or any important occasion we will have a room or area to suit your needs. Accessibility is excellent, with a ramp lift available at the rear of the building and a passenger lift inside to access both the first & second floors.
Our Kitchen team can produce a selection of buffets designed to your specifications or we have a pick and mix buffet menu for you to choose from. We are also able to offer full meals either from our Ale & Pie Menu with fantastic home baked pies and a selection of classic meals or again by designing a menu to suit your requirements.
Our bar is stocked with a wide selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks including the excellent range of cask Ales from Fullers London Griffin brewery.
The Function Room
The Function Room is situated on the first floor and is accessible by stairs and passenger lift. This grand room with its high ceiling and chandeliers overlooks the patio garden and is suitable for: -
The Function Room is the perfect setting for a larger private party for which we can provide canapés, hot or cold buffet, and a mini bar or waiter service.

The Function Room for formal dining is an impressive space in which to entertain your guests. We can offer full waiter service for our Ale & Pie Menu or a menu designed to suit your personal requirements.

Get your friends and colleagues together for a fun filled evening enjoying Skittles, Race Night, Poker Night, Pub Games (eg. table skittles, bagatelle, giant jenga, giant connect 4) to name but a few.

The Function Room is a wonderful setting for meetings, conferences and training days. It is fully equipped with large projection screen, plasma screen, flip chart and PA system. It can be set up as boardroom, theatre, horseshoe, or informal tables to provide the ideal accommodation for your event.

The Club Room
The Club Room is situated on the ground floor at the rear of the main bar. This wonderful and stylish room with its dark oak panelling was formally the bank manager’s office and is now a private room suitable for: -
The Club Room is ideal for the smaller private party for which we can provide canapés, hot or cold buffet, and a mini bar or waiter service.

The Club Room can also provide you with your own private dining space for those more formal occasions when a full sit down meal is called for. Our Ale & Pie Menu is available or we can design a menu to suit your requirements.

The Club Room is perfect for smaller meetings and can be set up in boardroom, theatre or horseshoe arrangements. A flip chart, plasma screen and projection screen are available if required.

The mezzanine level is a delightful dining area of the bar and over looks the main bar area. The space is ideal for informal buffets and drinks gatherings, allowing guests to soak in the atmosphere of the whole pub, yet remaining private. The area can be used on it's own or in conjunction with the function room.
Theatre Crush Bar
Situated in the Theatre on the second floor and accessible by stairs and passenger lift, the crush bar is ideal for smaller parties and meetings, it is also used as an art gallery with local and national exhibitions taking place.
Perfect for small drinks receptions with canapés or even as a dining room for a meal, we can set up a mini bar or offer waiter service for all your needs.

This room is ideal for confidential meetings, one to ones, interviews or auditions and has the use of all our equipment, projection screen, plasma screen, flip chart and PA system. It can be set up as boardroom, interview table or casual tables.
