Always keen to promote new and emerging talent along with establish musicians on the music scene, the Old Joint Stock Pub and Theatre Venue continues the series of live Jazz evenings in the Bar.
Pop along for a relaxed night of quality food, quality ale and quality music.
Our Monthly Jazz nights are proving very popular amongst Jazz fans across the City. The music played is a mix of standards and new work.

House band at The Old Joint Stock Pub and Theatre, Birmingham, Four on the Floor is a vibrant young band formed from musicians of Birmingham Conservatoire. The piano trio, featuring Andy Bunting (piano), Nick Jurd (double bass) and Jonathan Silk (drums) is a swinging group working in and around the Birmingham area. Playing in various different venues for gigs and private functions, the band is building a strong reputation through regular playing, particularly at The Old Joint Stock. Playing many well known Jazz standards and exploring the tradition of Jazz music, the band is focussing on creating inventive music and entertaining listeners.
When joined by vocalist, Holly Thomas, the resulting quartet increases their rapport, exploring the classic vocal tunes of the Jazz era aiming to provide a modern twist on these well known songs. Taking heavy influence from vocal giants Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald, Holly is a talented young singer to watch.
Join the trio every Sunday for some great music and great food from the Old Joint Stock pub, 1-3pm and come down for a special performance on the last Sunday of every month, same time, featuring Holly Thomas. This is the perfect opportunity to see an exciting young band performing regularly in a great pub in Birmingham.
